The Beat announced the winners of the 2005 Best of The Beat and little ole me nearly fell off my horse when I heard the news. I never imagined I could have won a contest like this. Thanks to pure serendipity, I’ve got an art show up in downtown Greenville at the supper cool O-CHA tea bar. It's a really neat place, check out these pics. Independent Film Channel

97 Cent Comics at Wal-Mart.



Wal-Mart has a little side cap of 4 different comic reprints. Fantastic Four, Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers and Incredible Hulk. Each one reprints the first 3 issues in Black and White. They are smaller than the originals, about the size of a TV Guide (6.5"x 4.75"). At that price I had to buy them all, but some how the Incredible Hulk didn't make it to the checkout with me. Grrrr! I wonder if these were even offered to Comic Stores. They would be great impulse buy items on the front counter.

The Small Press Expo was killer!! I got tons of killer books, met tons of killer people, I had a ton of killler fun driving back and forth with a van full of folks. All I can say is SPX is a killer show to find killer stuff.

I had a great time at Richard's Comics and Collectables. Thanks to everyone who stopped by.
